Mason Jar Pictures!

Here is one of my all time favorites and its super cheap.
Step 1- Buy the large pint mason jars (wide mouth).
Step 2- pick a theme. this was for my sister who is a barrel racer but you could do sand/beach theme with sand from vacation or dirt from the place that you visited. if its a snowy theme i would do salt or sugar mixed with glitter.
Step 3- cut the picture to fit inside the jar first.
Step 4- hot glue and solid props down. I had the barrels that I got out of a $5 dollar general play set, it came with the panels, feed sacks, hay, and a bunch of other stuff.
Step 5- add picture. I used hot glue to secure the top corners of the picture just to keep it from moving.
Step 6- add dirt/sand/snow. it doesn't take a lot, just enough to cover the bottom of the picture and make it look like it belongs there.
Step 7- optional. you can add things to the outside of the jar as well if it doesn't fit inside. As you can see on the top picture i had to add the panel to keep the jar steady. if there isn't a flat side to the jar you will have to add something to keep it from rolling.

These are really cool! They are personal and cheap! (especially if you already have the jars!)

Ho Ho Hot Chocolate mugs

These are super easy. I do have a trick or two to make them a little easier.

step 1- dip the rim of the glass in melting chocolate.
step 2- set the glass upright in the fridge so that it will harden before it drips down the inside of the glass.
step 3- once the chocolate is mostly hard repeat step 2.
step 4- dip a 3rd time and allow to sit on the counter for a few minutes.
Step 5- dip in sprinkles and allow to harden
Step 6- tie on a tiny Bailey's, Chocolate covered spoon, or other tasty treat.

enjoy!

possibly the cutest, easiest gift ever...meet...cup cozies

This is a cup cozy...not to be confused with at coozie.

Step 1- Go to the dollar store and pict our a pair of cute socks (literally $1) they need to be crew height at least ( no ankle socks and the fuzzy warm ones work better.)
Step 2- Take the sock back home and wash it. that gets all of the fuzzies off.
Step 3- cut the top off. right where the sock bends for the heel cut straight across. The top is already finished so it won't fray. these kind of socks don't really fray anyway so i just leave the other end undone. if you choose to use not fuzzy socks, just fold a little cuff in the sock and hot glue into place. ( you will learn that I hot glue EVERYTHING!)
Step 4- add your own adoring details. I chose to use some scraps of lace that I had and some burlap. you could also decorate with felt snowflakes or hearts ect.

and that is all there is to it!
These are great for co workers or small gifts that you want to have in your back pocket in case you forgot someone. I made these and paired them with chocolate coffee mugs.  I will post those next :)

crafting and gluing and repurposing...oh my!

Hey guys!

I love to repurpose and craft pretty much anything! This blog is just to give me a chance to show others some tips that I have gathered from trial and error many times over. i have added some pictures of my most recent projects below and will be posting later on the best way to make these things.
